Theatre Angels Program
 In
the live theatre world an "angel" is someone who
gets behind an idea and provides the financial support to make
it a reality. With yearly donations of $2,000 from The Royal
Bank Financial Group and the support of The Nanaimo News Bulletin,
The Port Theatre Angels Program makes available complimentary
tickets to people in the region who are economically disadvantaged.
The tickets are intended for those who would not normally be
able to purchase a ticket to a live performance event.
The Theatre Angels program provides tickets to social
service agencies in the city who in turn will be reponsible
for distributing the tickets to individuals they know would
be interested in attending a live performance event. The
tickets are chosen from the roster of The Port Theatre
Presents events and will include a variety o touring dance,
theatre, and music attractions.
Would your family, your business or your service club like
to become a Theatre Angel? All donations go toward the theatre's
operation budget and will provide more free tickets to be
distributed by selected social service agencies
